Eden project

On our second day in Cornwall we visited the Eden project (Edenva in Cornish). It is such a fantastic and interesting place. The domes below show the tropical biome to the left and the mediterranean biome to the right.

Let me present the Weee man. He is 7 metres tall and weighs 3.3 tonnes. He was built to represent what is thrown away in the UK. Mobile phones, mp3 players, lawn mowers, etc make up his bones, his teeth are made of computer mice, his ears are satellite dishes and his brain is built of computer parts.

The largest wasp I have ever seen. Glad it's not alive.

Smells good...

While I was surprised to find this one in the tropical biome...

...this cool guy fitted right in. Hard to catch though - he was moving super fast!

Amazon

I hear bees are endangered. But in Eden they seem to be having a good time!

So did Maria

Keeping the birds away

Working the fields

In the outside biome we ran into this lady

Dionysus in the Mediterranean biome

We parked in the banana zone
