Snow in Milan

Went to Milan to see clients yesterday and was surprised to see that it was colder in Milan than in London - AND snowing! After seeing my first snow in Helsinki in the beginning of this week here we went again. I love snow - it's very pretty! But it has one big disadvantage when traveling - often means chaos. And fair enough, after a 3 hour delay when flying from Helsinki (to be fair, it was because of heavy fog in London) my flight from Milan this eve was cancelled. Luckily I was able to get on a flight two hours later (well am not on it yet and it hadn't left London when I checked in so maybe I should be a bit careful about what I write - just in case) from an airport a bit further away. Hope I get on. Wish me luck!

A couple of shots from a simple wedding

This fall Paul and Jessica had their happiest day of their lives in Colchester, a little town in Essex. It was a very small wedding at a hotel just next to the Colchester Castle. It rained the night before so we were a bit worried about having to take all of the wedding photos inside, but luckily it was a lovely day. Huge congratulations to Paul and Jess and may they live happily ever after!

'Liten' is growing too fast!

Visited Stockholm for four days. Always nice to see my family. And it's amazing to see how fast Alexandra (Liten), my little niece, is growing - it's unbelievable! And so is her hair... I think she's cut her hair three times already. And she's only one and a half!

Alexandra should be in bed (she should go to bed by seven). But with all the people around and her being the most curious little child, she didn't feel like sleeping...

Plus there was cheese doodles... She loves her cheese doodles.

Off to Dover to see the white cliffs

After visiting Hastings we figured, why not go to Dover to see the white cliffs. It was a two hour drive both to London and Dover and we hadn't been, so off we went. The day was fabulous and finally we got to see the sun setting in a cloudless sky (we have waited a long time and we are still a bit annoyed that we missed the sunset in Land's End because of a grey sky). Naturally the old Swedish song 'Dover-Calais' with Style was on my mind all along during the visit.

In many ways Dover IS the castle - it's for sure quite dominating...

We got a good view of the cliffs from the castle.

It was a beautiful day!

My little one and a half year old niece would say 'titt tut' if she'd been with...

Reliving the battle of Hastings

I must buy boots, rubber boots. I learned the hard way in the fields around Hastings (where we relived the battle of Hastings 1066 when William the Conquerer became king of England) not to wear white sneakers to a field (especially if it's raining). But the show was exciting. It started with the Normans charging...
